LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS

• Finally!  The list of numbers and stats that no one cares about, yet is a testament that I do have records of everything!
• Counting playoffs, there have officially been 47,830 predictions made in The DFC's regular season, with 1452 games selected.
• Michael Ferris is our lone Rookie of this season--but to officially get the Rookie of the Year Award, I've decided he has to win 50 games.  No sense in giving a 43 game winner an award by default.   He becomes the 79th person to play this game in its 16 year history.
• In regular season wins, 4 DFC'ers have crossed the 800 win mark -- David Mark Osborne (811), Mark Gainey (807), Daniel Powell (807) and Tom Johnson (804).  Next up to 800, Mikey Nipp (799), Eddy Jr (798) and Tad Roose (793)
• Tyler Campbell got his 600th win this weekend, now at 604, while James Hawbaker is a few weeks away at 577.
• Matt Halpert's next milestone is 500, as he's at 486, while Chris Croyle (383) is close to 400.  Randy Latta got his 300th win (312), with Bradley Pinkerton at 294.
• Jacob Pinkerton is at 103, while last year's Rookie of  the Year & MVP Clay Shaver is a few weeks away from his 100th, at 76
• Now, toss in all playoff games, and the rankings change up a bit... The All Time Top Ten is as follows:  Yours Truly (970)... Jennifer Ernst (963)... Big Eddy (962)... Drew Morris (946)... Mark Gainey (914)... Tommy McLeod (904)... Matt Latta (900)... Jonathan Osborne (864)... Tad Roose (858) and Daniel Powell (848).
• Its interesting to note that Jennifer Ernst spent at least five straight seasons atop the Regular Season & All Time rankings, now finding herself in 2nd on the former, and only a game away from 3rd in the latter.
• Two of the biggest streaks in the DFC are the consecutive weeks streaks, first, consecutive weeks of at least .500 or better.   Yours Truly leads the current streak at 20 weeks.
• Hurricane Rhett has that streak at 19 weeks, dating back to Week 5 of DFC XIV,  This ties him with Daniel Powell, Tommy McLeod and Trey Cartledge for 6th on the all time list... Tad Roose owns this streak at 45 weeks.
• Big Eddy McBroom is at 13 weeks.  Remodeling Clay Shaver is also at 13 weeks, which is notable as he's never had a losing record in the DFC.   Also, the current record of .500 or better weeks to begin a career is Gary "The Idol Eubanks" at 24 weeks, which is tied for 2nd all time on this list (tied with Matt Halpert)
• A much more difficult streak is the one that is the Above .500 streak.  No 4-4 or 5-5, its gotta be 5-3 or 6-4 or better.  The record on this is 17 weeks, owned by Matt Latta, but the current streak is at 9 weeks, by Big Eddy McBroom.  At 7 weeks is Rhett Barnett.  Mitchell Pinkerton has a streak of 6 weeks going, while Justin Harrison and Steven Ray are both at 5 weeks.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
It took a long time, but finally,  the original DFC'er Michael Nipp becomes a member of the 10 Weekly Win Club (which I just invented like, right now), joining Drew Morris and Yours Truly as the only ones with 10 weekly wins to their name... he wins his first week since Week 12 of DFC XII.

And for one of the only times in DFC history, there is a 3 way tie for 2nd place, with Jeni Ernst, and couple Lori Beirne & Mike Beirne all going 8-2 AND getting the TB exactly.

In 5th place, second year DFC'er Bronson Kilgore goes 8-2, in 6th place, Hurricane Rhett, Yours Truly in 7th place and Grandy Latta in 8th all at 8-2.  In 9th place, The Big Wasyluka and rounding out the top ten for the week is another tie, with The Matt "Scientist" Halpert and Jonny Osborne, all at 7-3.

Also Finishing:
7-3:  Drew "Slash" Morris... Justin "Credible" Harrison... Remodeling Clay Shaver... Mark "The Mighty" Gainey... Brad "Lawdawg" Latta... Matty Pinky... Brad Pinky... Marky Mark Warner
6-4: Mitchell Pinky... Big Eddy... Zack "Attack" Graves... James Hawbaker... Rookie Mike Ferris... Justin Glenn... Tommy Mac... The Defending DFC Champion Steven Ray... Tad "The Dynasty" Roose...
5-5: Lt Dan Sellers... Trey "The Answer" Cartledge... Eddy Jr... Drew "The Grassman" Warren... DMOsborne... Brad Ashby... Sarah Hasha... Young Garrett Cheney.. Chris Croyle...
3-7: Tom Johnson... Daniel Powell... Tyler "The Self Proclaimed Sexy Beast of The DFC" Campbell

For the Tiebreak Average... After Week 5, your worst TB score of the season will be dropped.  Until then, all of your TB scores are averaged together to make your TB Score

THE STANDINGS
"CR" is Conference Rank... Top 8 will get into postseason.  Ranks based on record first, followed by TieBreak Average (TBA).  Currently, ties are allowed because its so early in the season.  Divisional leaders will hold an advantage over another with a better TBA if the records are equal.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
He won 70 games a few years ago, though last season stumbled a bit, so here's to hoping he doesn't peak too early... at 9-1, Jonathan Osborne captures his 6th weekly win of his career, and becomes the very first DFC'er to win a week and get the TB score exactly right.

Marky Mark Warner comes in 2nd at 9-1, only missing the TB by 5 points, while Drew Warren gets 3rd place at 9-1.  Also at 9-1, Hurricane Rhett Barnett gets 4th, while former DFC Champion Tad "The Dynasty" Roose gets 5th place.

Tied for 6th place at 8-2 includes The Matt "Scientist" Halpert, Brad "Lawdawg" Latta and Grandy Latta, while tied for 9th is Eddy Jr, Justin Harrison and defending DFC Champion Steven Ray, all at 8-2.

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
Not much to report this week as I'm still actually assembling all the stats from last season in order to make sure it's all correct.  We had two legendary DFC'ers step down this year, Matt & Scott Latta, so in coming weeks, we'll salute them with their stats and honors in their career.  Stay Tuned!
