DFC XXI: The Line Up
The 21st Season of the DFC has commenced... we've lost a few, including Rick Thuele (4 seasons), Remodeling Clay Shaver (6 seasons), Atlanta Bill (4 seasons), and stepping away this year, Lori "Sunshine" Beirne, after an incredible 18 season career.
But welcome back to the fold... after being gone for 11 years, Chris "Wook Fu" Fulaytar returns for his 6th season in the DFC. A two time champion, he's single and ready to mingle... or something.

DFC XXI - The Pandemic Season Rules
So I've truly gone back and forth, should we do a half season? a full season? a partial season? what happens if we go forth and football stops? In the grand scheme of things, the DFC isn't that important, but we've been doing this for 21 years, so I do take it somewhat seriously.
Here's what I have come up with.
Eight games per week, a 10 week season, with 80 games total.
While we will hold divisions this year (see next section) the postseason will be determined by all records ranked, regardless of division. With 34 competing this week, here's how it breaks down:
After Week 8, those holding the bottom 10 records are gone, leaving 24 to move forward

After Week 8, those holding the bottom 10 records are gone, leaving 24 to move forward
After Week 9, bottom 6 are gone, leaving 18.
After Week 10, The Top 12 Records advance to the postseason
Playoffs Week One - Bottom four are out
Playoffs Week Two - Next bottom four are out
Playoff Final Four - Bottom two are out
DeuceBowl XXI - Two enter. One crowned champion
.
.
BUT WHAT ABOUT DIVISIONS?
Everyone's records will remain intact in the divisions. Whoever has the best record in your division will win that division. and division winners get a higher seed over a non-division winner in the Top 12.
BUT WHAT IF THE SEASON SHUTS DOWN EARLY?
We will take it week by week. We must finish at least 7 weeks of the season to have a champion. If I see there is nothing going forward, whoever has the best record will be crowned the DFC Champ (though this is worst case scenario)
Also, I have the right to make decisions on the fly week by week if I see the writing on the wall (as in, start the playoffs early, shorten the season, etc)
If football shuts down before 7 weeks, then there will be no champion -- but all wins and losses will be counted to your overall career stats.
