THE WEEK THAT WAS
Its taken a while for Big Eddy Mac, but his weekend was big for 2 reasons... first, his very first undefeated record in his long career, 12 years... and second, it was his first weekly win in 7 seasons, as he last won a week in DFC V, in 2004. He actually won back-to-back weeks that year, winning Week 9 outright, and then in a three way tie with Tad Roose & Jonathan Osborne
But congrats to Eddy McBroom for his 8-0 win... he is truly the Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Dan Marino and Don Mattingly of The DFC--that is, the greatest to never taste championship glory.
This was a big week for alot of people, as we had a record number of 8-0 records this week, six in all... and it was a big week for the McBrooms as a whole, as Eddy the Junior takes #2... Jenie Ersnt comes in 3rd for the week, while Bradley Pinkerton gets 4th, Lil Stevie Ray gets 5th, and Tad "The Dynasty" Roose gets the 6th spot, all at 8-0 for the week.
In 7th is Defending DFC Champion Tyler Campbell at 7-1, tied for 8th is DMOsborne and David Stamper, and coming in 10th is Jessica Hawbaker, all at 7-1.
Also finishing:
7-1: Matt "The Mad Scientist" Halpert... All Lattas except for Scott... Drew Warren... Shawn Sharp... Tommy McLeod... JustFish... Trey "The Master" Cartledge... Lori "Sunshine" Beirne... Doc Whitley... The Mighty Gainey... Sarah Hasha... Brad Ashby... John "The Wolf"... Ryan "The Blood" Sherman... Croyle... James Hawbaker...
6-2: Scott Latta... Lt Dan... Drew / Morris... The Big Wasyluka... Mikey Nipp... Daniel Powell... Big Tom Johnson... Yours Truly... Young Cheney...
5-3: Zack "The Dark Horse" Graves... Greg Graves... Jonny Osborne... Magic Mark...
4-4: Hurricane Rhett
3-5: Tebe Shaw

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
- As mentioned before, Big Eddy had back-to-back weekly wins in DFC V, winning Week 9, then tying for Week 10 with 2 others (Roose & J. Osborne).
- Who else has won back to back? DFC Hall of Famer Wookiee Fulaytar did it first in DFC I, winning Weeks 9 and 10. Jennifer Ersnt did it a few seasons later, winning Weeks 8 & 9, in DFC IV from 2003. She also won Week 11, with Tad Roose winning Week 10 that year, breaking up her Four-Peat.
- We already mentioned Big Eddy, then a back-to-back happend in DFC VI, when Scott Latta won Weeks 8 and 9.
- We mentioned Eddy, and then it back-to-backs didnt happen again until 2007, in DFC VIII, when an unlikely DFC'er won both Weeks 2 and 3... Rev. Ty "Sharpton" Coffey. Then later that season, James Hawbaker won Week 10, and then tied with Ken Mackey for Week 11, who then went the following week (Mackey) and tied with Drew Morris and Trey Cartledge for Week 12.
- Tommy McLeod won Weeks 7 and 8 in DFC X, Yours Truly took Weeks 6 & 7 in DFC XI, and then finally, Young Garrett Cheney took Weeks 8 and 9 in DFC XII.
- So all in all, back-to-backs have been done 10 times... Wookie Fulaytar, Jennifer Ernst, Scotty Latta, Ty Coffey, Tommy McLeod, Yours Truly and Garrett Cheney won it outright, Big Eddy, James Hawbaker and Ken Mackey did it with some ties.
