THE WEEK THAT WAS

In a complete opposite of last week, Week Five in this season's DFC proved to be one of the more successful weeks in the league's history.  Only 5 interceptions by Tony Romo from Dallas and their loss to Chicago kept a record FIVE people from going undefeated this week.

However, Chicago DID beat Dallas, and as a result, James Hawbaker wins his fourth career weekly win, and his second 8-0 of his career.  Brad Ashby, who I thought was going to take this week, came up short, in 2nd place with a 7-1 mark.

Yours Truly took 3rd place for the week, with Zack "The Dark Horse" Graves in 4th, Jessica Hawbaker in 5th place, Grandy Latta in 6th, Jonathan Osborne in 7th and John "Hungry Like the" Wolf in 8th, all with 7-1 weekly records

In 9th place, at 6-2, is Trey Cartledge, and rounding out this week's Top 10 is Young Garrett Cheney, also at 6-2.

Also Finishing:
6-2: Matt Halpert... Matt Latta... Stephanie Latta... Hurricane Rhett... Drew "The Grassman" Warren... Brad Latta... Tommy McLeod... Both Eddys... Lori "Sunshine" Beirne... Big Tom Johnson...  The Big Wasyluka... Mikey Nipp... Drew Morris...  Scott Latta...

3-5:  Shawn Sharp... Sarah Hasha... Croyle... Daniel Powell

THE STANDINGS
In addition to regular standings, I've added a new component--Conference Rank, so you can see where you are in the conference.  Just a quick reminder--Top 3 records, with division winner getting the advantage in a tie with a non-division winner, get first round byes.  Numbers 4 thru 8 compete in Wild Card Weekend.  9 thru 22 start DFC XIV undefeated the following the last game of the regular season.  Also, if there is a tie in TBA that cannot be broken, the "best TB" of the season will be added back into the score... if that doesn't solve it, the "worst TB" of the season will also be added back in.

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS

  • Due to the results coming out Wednesday, this section will be shorter than normal, but I did want to point out that following Week 4, which in my estimation was the absolute worst season week in the history of the DFC... this week was the absolute best week in the history of the league.  Only 4 records below .500, all at 3-5 (Shawn, Croyle, Daniel and Sarah), and NO 4-4 records.
  • Regardless of how many above and below .500 records for the week, we've never had a week with no 4-4 records from anyone.  Except for this week.
  • And with that, Daniel breaks his 16 week streak of 4-4 or better.  The Big Wasyluka has logged his 18th straight week of 4-4+, putting him tied for 9th all time with streaks from Jonathan Osborne and Gina "Wife of Tad 'The Dynasy' Roose" Roose.
