It's the Final Week of the Regular Season... and I have NO idea what happened in Week 9. I'll be working on that over the next two days, so I'll send you the results on Wednesday (and I'm sure we'll have some playoff spots captured by then as well)
This is important because in the final week of the season, once your pick is sent in, it is SET. You cannot change it.
Also, please get EVERYTHING in by Saturday morning, NFL included, at once, rather than college on one day and NFL on the other (no, this isn't really allowed but it does happen)
This week's games... 5 college, 5 NFL... some of these seem like gimmes, but that makes it fun. Do you go with the sure thing? Or take a chance and root for the upsets?

THE WEEK THAT WAS
One of the most popular and celebrated DFC'ers of all time, Big Eddy McBroom, has had quite a stumble this year, but it's been wonderful to watch him claw his way back into contention... and he did that this week, with a stellar 8-1 record. Eddy captures his 6th weekly win of his career.
And his son, commonly known and Lil Eddy, or Eddy the Lesser (size) follows up dear ol' dad by also going 8-1, getting 2nd place for the week. Tied for 3rd is both Remodeling Clay Shaver and Drew "The Grassman" Warren (!) at 7-2, while in 5th place comes in Lil Stevie Ray.
In 6th, Lori "Sunshine" Beirne at 7-2, in 7th is Brad "The Lawdawg" Latta and in a three way tie f or 8th, Matt "The Mad Scientist" Halpert, Matty Pinky and gRandy Latta, again at 7-2.

THE PLAYOFFS
Real quick, in case anyone needs a refresher... top 8 records make it into the postseason per conference. Top three get a 1st round bye, the remaining 5 will participate in Wild Card Weekend, where the best 2 of the five records will advance. There is a tiebreak game, but any tie after that is given to the higher seed.
Seeds are determined by first record, and second tiebreak average. If there is a tie TBA, then the "best TB score of the year" will be removed per person. If there is a tie after that, then both the worst and best score will be added back. If there is another tie, we'll figure it out then. =)
Divisional winners get higher seeds when record is tied with a non-division winner, regardless of TBA.
After 2 per conference advance in Wild Card Weekend, they'll match up against the 3 highest seeds in the Divisional Weekend. The top two seeds per conference advance to the DFC Final Four. The best record per conference after Final Four Weekend advance to DeuceBowl XVII.

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
- Well, stupid Yours Truly. I finally posted about my chase of Tad Roose's .500+ record as I was looking for my 33rd week. Then I finished 4-5. So that streak is now over.
- Who's up next? Zack Graves has hit 22 weeks with at least a .500 record, while no one else really is above 12 weeks.
- Also interesting to note, Zack Graves just finished a streak of 5 straight weeks at .500... in consecutive weeks, he went 5-5, 5-5, 5-5, 5-5 and 4-4, before going 6-3 this week. Looking back in the stats, lots of people went .500 three weeks in a row, and a handful went .500 four weeks in a row... but Zack now holds the record for most consecutive .500 weeks. Uh... good job?
- Looking at the much harder streak, of going over .500 in consecutive weeks, Randy Latta had 8 week streak and Lori Smith had a 10 week streak coming into Week 6. Both streaks landed with a thud as both went 4-5.
- Brad Ashby now holds the longest consecutive streak of over .500 currently, with three weeks. This is a tough league.
- Two of the stalwarts of the DFC have been Mark Gainey and Big Eddy McBroom, with almost 250 playoff victories and literally 2042 all time wins between them... both have struggled this year, as neither have hit the top 12 so far.
- The last time there wasn't a Gainey or McBroom in the DFC postseason? DFC I, in 2000, before either joined the league.
- Speaking of the DFC Power Poll Top 12, obviously 12 starting in the rankings. Only 5 DFC'ers have remained in the Top 12 this entire season so far -- James Hawbaker, Clay Shaver, Randy Latta, Lori Beirne & Yours Truly.
- Clay Shaver & Lori Beirne are notable as both have spent the entire season in the Top 4.
- Its a tough thing to do, that is to remain in the Top 12 all season, as last year, only Rhett Barnett, Randy Latta and Yours Truly did it... Hurricane Rhett went on to win the DFC Championship, while Yours Truly missed the postseason entirely.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
It usually happens once a year, and last year it was during Week 6... that being a rookie winning the week. This time around, in Week 5, Bill Seybolt, aka Atlanta Billy, takes the week for his first career weekly win with a solid 7-1, which also vaults him into The DFC Top 12 Power Poll, gathered by Hefty Bags.
Coming in 2nd, another riser in the ranks, as Big Tom Johnson also goes 7-1, pulling himself out of that bottom spot for the first time in a few weeks (he ranks 31st this week overall)
Brad "The Lawdawg" Latta, Atty at Law, gets the 3rd spot for the week at 6-2, while a tie for 4th comes in the form of both Old and Young Eddy McBrooms, and Tyler "The DFC Sexy Beast (self proclaimed)" Campbell gets 6th, all at 6-2.
In 7th for the week, quietly putting a solid season together, DFC I'er Daniel Powell at 5-3, with Matt "The Mad Scientist" Halpert (he really is a scientist by the way) and Mark "The Mighty" Gainey (though he's not as mighty this year) tie for 8th, and another tie rounds out the Top Ten for the week between division mates (and division leaders) Lori "Sunshine" Beirne and Randy "Grandy" Latta, both at 5-3.
Also Finishing:
5-3: James "The Playoff Maker" Hawbaker... Jon Osborne... "The Bald One" Brad Ashby...
4-4: Brett "The Pop" Smith... Defending DFC Champion Hurricane Rhett Barnett... Lil Stevie Ray.... Mikey Nipp... Jacob Pinky... DMO... Drew "The Grassman" Warren... Lt Dan "Magic Legs" Sellers... Sarah Hasha... Zack "The Attack" Graves... Jenni Ernst... Tommy "Highland" McLeod... Justin "The Smooth Blend" Glenn... Yours Truly... Bradley Pinky...
3-5: Young Garrett Cheney... Trey "The Answer" Cartledge... Drew // Morris... Remodeling Clay Shaver... Michael "The Wheel" Ferris... TOOLIE... Chris Croyle...
2-6: Both Mitchell & Matthew Pinky... Tad "The Dynasy (has died?)" Roose

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
- Mentioned several times because its so impressive, Tad Roose stayed at .500 for 45 straight weeks, covering part or all of five seasons. Yours Truly and Rhett Barnett were chasing the streak at the end of last season, but Hurricane Rhett's flop in Week 1 this year ended his run at 26 weeks. Yours Truly's streak has reached 32 weeks, fingers crossed.
- The next longest streak that picks up the mantle if (when) Yours Truly drops the ball is Zack Graves, who is at 21 weeks.
- The other streak that may never be touched is going over .500 in consecutive weeks. Matt Latta went 5-3, 6-2, 7-1 and 8-0 for 17 straight weeks... the current streak is Randy Latta at 8 weeks.
- Congrats to Mark Gainey, the first of the Season 3 rookies to reach 1000 all time wins... or he will, when he wins 6 more games, as he's at 994. Tommy McLeod is at 986 and then Jonathan Osborne is way back at 946 (so he'll hit 1000 next season, more than likely)
- Eddy Mac Jr is close to 900 all time, as he's at 891, while at 887 is Big Tom Johnson.
- Rookie of the Year last season Michael Ferris is sitting at 95, so is uberclose to 100 victories for his career.
- And congrats to Lori Beirne, former DFC Champion (and having a stellar season this year) for entering the All Time Top Ten, sitting at #10 with 918 wins lifetime. And David Mark Osborne has 919, so they may go back and forth this year.
- Sitting at #11? Daniel Powell at 914.
