THE WEEK THAT WAS
Two things happened this week that I don't have records for, but I'm sure is an oddity - first, six undefeated records happened this week, which is big, especially to start a season. Second, everyone in the week had a winning record - so despite finishing 31st and 32nd, Matt Mink and Coach DiBello still finished 5-3 (its the little things, really)
That said... despite being a former champion in DFC XII (2011), Tyler "The Self Proclaimed Sexy Beast of the DFC" Campbell has only won two weeks in his career - Week 4 of DFC XVII & Week 5 of DFC XXV - and has now been the best of the undefeateds this week, snagging weekly win #3
As far as the 8-0's go, in second is Jacob "Pinky the Pinky" Pinkerton... third is Big Eddy McB... fourth is Danny "3D" Powell... in fifth is Mark "The Mighty" Gainey... and Eddy Jr gets sixth.
Tied for 7th is Jenny Ernst and Matty "Pinky the Elder" Pinky, at 7-1, and in 9th, Garrison "The Pride of TyTy Georgia" Ryfun and tied for 10th, the Osborne bros, DMO and Jonny Oz, at 7-1.

SPECIAL SHOUTOUT
We lost two this year in the DFC -- I'm always surprised when we have so many come back, so for a lot of people, this is a fall tradition...
First up, Jeremy Burgess stepped out after a year, a 61-25 record, and a first round playoff appearance. He managed to go the entire season without a losing record, finished 11th for the season overall, and managed to land at 75th overall in wins in the history of the DFC. Not terrible. A promising career taken from us so soon (he's not dead, he's just busy)
Secondly, a special shout out to Tim "The Big" Wasyluka... he steps away after 23 seasons, starting in 2002 (taking a season off in 2016), with a 66-57 playoff record with 9 appearances, 10 weekly wins (the last one coming in Wk 5 of DFC XXIV), and 6 division titles (2 in the Central - DFC III and IV - and four in the South - VI, XVI, XXII, and XXIV)
Only one Final Four appearance (DFC XXII) - he does have the notoriety of winning a playoff match at 2-6 over his opponent's 1-7 record (back when we went head to head in the playoffs, which instituted the change to group advancing)
Anyway, he finishes his career with a 1252-948 regular season record, 14th overall, and a overall record of 1317-1005 (also 14th overall). Nineteen winning seasons, two at .500, and five 60 win years.
First ballot Hall of Famer? Eh... maybe not first ballot. But would likely get in in subsequent ballots, if nothing else for longevity and continued success. Twenty three years later, The Big Wasyluka gets a standing O. Thank you, my friend.
