THE WEEK THAT WAS
Since we went to a 10 week season in DFC XIV, we've never had an undefeated week, though we've had a dozen or so 9-1 weeks. This week, however, that all changed because we had not one, but two three 10-0 weeks... and via tiebreak, Lori "Sunshine" Beirne gets the first ever weekly win with a 10-0 record, the eighth of her career and first since last season's Week 4 win.
Coming in 2nd, undefeated but a few points off, Mark "The Mighty" Gainey also gets a 10-0 record for the week, but not the weekly win.
A tie for 3rd place find Lt Dan Sellers and DMOsborne both at 9-1, while Remodeling Clay Shaver gets 5th at 9-1. Justin Harrison is in 6th and tied for 7th is Drew "Slash" Morris and James "The Win Maker" Hawbaker, all at 9-1.
In 9th place, young Mitchell Pinkerton goes 8-2, and Tommy McLeod takes 10th place at 8-2.
Also finishing:
8-2: Trey "The Answer" Cartledge... Hurricane Rhett Barnett... Brad "The Lawdawg" Latta... The Defending DFC Champion Steven Ray... Matty Pinky... Zack "The Attack" Graves... Jonathan Osborne

Another tie, this time for 6th, goes to Tommy McLeod and Tad Roose, while Eddy McBroom Jr gets 8th at 5-3. Still another tie, this time to round out the Top 10, for 9th place goes to Justin Glenn and Bronson Kilgore, both at 5-3.

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
- The Streak, the .500 one has reached a feverous pitch. Matt Halpert & Gary Eubanks have been tied for 2nd for a long time, now Rhett Barnett equals that, going 24 weeks with at least .500 or more. His last losing week came in Week 4 of DFC XIV in 2013.
- Yours Truly, however, is right behind Rhett, with the current 3rd longest streak of all time, at 23 weeks. I hadn't actually noticed until just now... rock on.
- Clay Shaver has the 3rd longest streak, currently at 18 weeks, which puts him tied with Gina Roose and Jonathan Osborne for the 7th longest streak of all time. It's also important to note that the longest .500 streak to begin a career was Gary Eubanks at 24 weeks. Clay is 7 weeks away from equaling that--he's in his second season and he's never had a losing record.
- As far as the .500+ streak, Drew Morris has the lead, with 9 weeks.
- Along with Matt Hapert, Drew Morris also has the current longest consecutive playoff streak, with 4 straight seasons--Drew is on track to get his 5th this year, while Matt may struggle to make it this year.
- Mark Gainey has the longest career streak, making the postseason from DFC III to DFC X, 8 straight years.
- Michael Nipp has the longest playoff drought, last making the postseason in DFC V in 2004, while DMOsborne made it in DFC VI in 2005. Justin Glenn also last made the playoffs in DFC VI, but was missing for a few seasons in the middle.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
Tad Roose garnered the nickname "The Dynasty" because he's the only three time DFC Champion, winning DFC II, IV and VII, as well as owning the monster streak of 45 weeks of .500 or up. And he won DeuceBowl IV with a perfect 8-0 record... but times have been tough for Tad "The Dynasty" Roose, making the playoffs just twice in 7 seasons--and a remarkable 104 weeks with nary a weekly victory.. until this week. Not saying Tad "The Dynasty" is back, but it's a start. Tad wins it with an 8-2 record, edging out Bronson Kilgore, who has really come on strong lately, also finishing 8-2.
The week was tough on many, but Clay Shaver survived and took 3rd at 7-3, while Matt Pinkerton and The Big Wasyluka tied for 4th. Lt Dan Sellers gets 6th and DMOsborne takes 7th, all at 7-3.
In 8th place, Jonathan Osborne goes 6-4, while Chris Croyle takes 9th, and tied for 10th place, Drew Morris, and Beirnes of both persuasions, Lori & Mike.
Also finishing:
6-4: Brad Latta... Mark Gainey... Garrett Cheney... Mikey Nipp'
5-5: Brad Ashby... Zack Graves... Yours Truly... Rhett Barnett... Drew Warren... Big Eddy... Smaller Eddy.. Tom Johnson... Randy Latta... Justin Harrison & Glenn... Sarah Hasha... Pinkertons Brad, Jacob & Mitchell... Mike Ferris... Tommy McLeod... Tyler Campbell...
