THE WEEK THAT WAS
Last season, DFC XV, was the first time in DFC history that there wasn't anyone who won multiple weeks in the season.  And for now, that's an anomaly, as Jonathan Osborne has won his 2nd week of the year, going 7-1.

There was a 4 way tie for 2nd place, with Brad Latta, Mark Gainey, Lori Beirne and Matt Pinkerton all getting a 6-2 record.  Another tie, this time for 6th, goes to Tommy McLeod and Tad Roose, while Eddy McBroom Jr gets 8th at 5-3.  Still another tie, this time to round out the Top 10, for 9th place goes to Justin Glenn and Bronson Kilgore, both at 5-3.

Also Finishing:
5-3: Jeni Ernst... Mitch Pinkerton... Grandy Latta... The Big Wasyluka... Big Eddy... Drew "Slash" Morris... Tom Johnson... Braddy Pinky... Matt "Scientist" Halpert... Trey "The Answer" Cartledge... Remodeling Clay Shaver... Hurricane Rhett Barnett... Lt Dan... Yours Truly... Rookie Mike Ferris...
4-4: Tyler "Sexy Beast" Campbell... Sarah Hasha... James "The Playoff Maker" Hawbaker... Defending DFC Champion Steven Ray... DMO... Mikey Nipp... Drew "The Grassman" Warren... Danny Powell... Zack "The Attack" Graves
3-5: The Croyle... Justin Harrison...
2-6: Brad Ashby... Young Garrett... Jacob Pinky... Marky Mark Warner

Out for the season... Mike Beirne has to step away for the season due to other obligations. He finishes at 39-29, which will go into his overall record.  Good luck Mike, and we'll see you in DFC XVII!

LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
  • The Streak, the .500 one has reached a feverous pitch.  Matt Halpert & Gary Eubanks have been tied for 2nd for a long time, now Rhett Barnett equals that, going 24 weeks with at least .500 or more.  His last losing week came in Week 4 of DFC XIV in 2013.
  • Yours Truly, however, is right behind Rhett, with the current 3rd longest streak of all time, at 23 weeks.  I hadn't actually noticed until just now... rock on.
  • Clay Shaver has the 3rd longest streak, currently at 18 weeks, which puts him tied with Gina Roose and Jonathan Osborne for the 7th longest streak of all time.  It's also important to note that the longest .500 streak to begin a career was Gary Eubanks at 24 weeks.  Clay is 7 weeks away from equaling that--he's in his second season and he's never had a losing record.
  • As far as the .500+ streak, Drew Morris has the lead, with 9 weeks.
  • Along with Matt Hapert, Drew Morris also has the current longest consecutive playoff streak, with 4 straight seasons--Drew is on track to get his 5th this year, while Matt may struggle to make it this year.
  • Mark Gainey has the longest career streak, making the postseason from DFC III to DFC X, 8 straight years.
  • Michael Nipp has the longest playoff drought, last making the postseason in DFC V in 2004, while DMOsborne made it in DFC VI in 2005.  Justin Glenn also last made the playoffs in DFC VI, but was missing for a few seasons in the middle.
