LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS (the shortened, just got back from vacation edition)
  • Perhaps its a jinx I'm throwing on him, but stand up for Big Eddy McBroom. Fifth on the All Time Win List, and in the DFC for his 9th season this year, he now sits atop the DFC Power Poll for the first time. The DFC Power Poll began in DFC IV, and Eddy has never come in at #1 in the overall poll.
  • In fact, in DFC IV, Big Eddy spent the entire season in the Top Five, including 2 weeks at #2 (sitting behind his own son, Eddy Jr) and 1 week at #2 behind Sunshine Lori Beirne... and since then, he's fallen on harder times. In DFC V, he only could get to 10th place, in DFC VI, VII, VIII and XI, he spent a total of 2 weeks out of the 48 in the Top 12. Is he back? We'll see.
  • Another uprising that was even less expected was Tyler Campbell, who has spent a grand total of 5 weeks out of his career 60 weeks (five seasons). He got to #3 once, Week 10 of DFC VII, but hasn't seen the Top 12 since. Considering he's in my division, let's hope that he doesn't continue this success.
