LIES, DARN LIES & STATISTICS
Welcome back to my favorite part of the results email, where I give you a whole bunch of stats that you only notice if you see your own name, but that you marvel at how someone can keep that much useless information... and it's all historical record, so it's all as accurate as possible

  • One of  the biggest records we've had in the DFC is the .500 streak, meaning, consecutive weeks with at least a .500 record or better... up until last year, it was 4-4 or better, with now having 10 games in some weeks, a 5-5 or better will do it... the record holder is Tad Roose, three time DFC Champion, who went an unreal 45 weeks at .500 or better--Started in Week 5 of DFC IV (2003), and didn't have a losing weekly record until he went 3-5 in Week 2 of DFC VIII (2007).  Second place on this list is Gary "The Idol" Eubanks, who went 24 weeks, while third is Yours Truly with 22 weeks.
  • Fourth place is what we are watching, as Matt Halpert's 4-4 record this week has tied him with Justin Glenn on this list... now at 21 straight weeks without a losing record--his last was a 3-5 weekend in Week 4 of DFC XIII (2012).
  • To give you an idea of how hard this consistency is, the next people on the list include Yours Truly with 10 weeks, and at 9 weeks, Hurricane Rhett, Zach Graves, Mike Beirne, Steven Ray and Tim Wasyluka.
  • The next streak we look at is the +.500, meaning either a 5-3 record (in weeks with 8 games) or a 6-4 record (in weeks with 10 games)--that is, a winning record from each week. Matt Latta holds the all time record on this, with 17 weeks, Yours Truly at 15, Mark Gainey at 14 and Big Eddy McBroom at 11.
  • Steven Ray has 9 straight weeks with a winning record under his belt now.  No pressure.
  • Looking at all time wins, regular season only, Tommy McLeod and Matt Latta have crossed the 800 win mark, with 801 and 803 respectively.  Drew Morris (779) and Big Eddy (778) are up next on this list.
  • Lori Beirne has hit the 700 win mark, with 705, while Tyler Campbell looks to be the next one to 600, though it will take a while at he's at 554.
  • Crossing the 300 regular season wins mark include Steven Ray (302), Dan Sellers (302) and Brad Latta (301), with Rhett Barnett (283) closing in.
  • Now, let's toss in the playoff wins as well, and we've got another list... Jennifer Ernst has become one of two DFC'ers to have 900 wins all time, as she's at 905 right now.  Drew Morris has 893 and Big Eddy is at 889.
  • Jonathan Osborne crossed 800 this weekend, at 806, while Scott Latta sits at 798, and Daniel Powell is at 797.
  • James Hawbaker hit 603 this weekend all time, while Justin Glenn crossed 400 to get to 404 all time.
  • Finally, the 100 win mark is right there for Mike Beirne (84) to cross in a few weeks.
  • Rookie of the Year contenders so far, you know, after 3 weeks, is pretty tight, as Bronson Kilgore and Mitchell Pinkerton are at 18 wins, while Matt Pinkerton is at 17 and Clay Shaver is at 16.  Out of 78 DFC'ers all time, they sit at 74th, 75th, 76th and 77th respectively--Willis Watkins is in last place at 12 wins lifetime.
  • For the rookies, there are 13 people ahead of them in "retirement" block before you get to those who are current in the DFC.  To get past all 13, it would take 59 wins this season, to put them in 61st place all time.
